Allpass filters are probably the most overlooked type of filters, but they lurk at the heart of phasers and other useful audio processors that can apply magic glue for the low end or produce deliciously moist and other-worldly sweeps, among other things.
Allpasser is a versatile bank of allpass filters with two LFOs, an envelope follower, abundant CV connections, and a modulation matrix.
In addition to phasering, Allpasser can also be used to smear transients to lower the crest factor of a signal, making it possible to apply harder limiting without audible distortion. With feedback applied, allpass filters can sound more like regular peak/notch filters. Stacking several narrow filters cause chirps and resonances that are great for effects. With CV and the modulation matrix, it is possible to introduce a wide range of movement to any of the parameters. Combining all the possibilities makes Allpasser a diverse tool when shaping any sound.
